Bethesda is the home of the National Institutes of Health and the Navy Medical Center. Potomac, MD

Potomac lies north and west of Bethesda, bordered on the west by the Potomac River. It is an area that is mainly known for its large estates and expensive homes, but it also offers subdivisions of more moderate sized housing. Silver Spring is located along the northeast border of Washington, D.C. along the eastern arm of the Red line.
