I immigrated to the United States from South Africa in late 1957. The first year I lived and worked in Manhattan. There I met and married my husband, Robert, an engineer at that time employed in the aerospace industry in Connecticut. Four cross-country moves and three children later, we settled in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Our fourth child was born in Washington D.C. in 1970.
Our three sons and one daughter have grown up to be our very good friends. We have seen them through their undergraduate studies and on to graduate schools and interesting careers. We now also have a very special daughter-in-law and four grandchildren.
I began my career in 1975. I had become interested in real estate as a career option when we bought and sold houses each time job transfers had taken us to another state in those early years. Those experiences have served me well in understanding the needs of my clients both from the point of view of selling and from the point of view of buying. Real estate turned out to be a perfect fit for me. I find it an endless source of interest and fascination. Each client’s needs are individual, each set of circumstances unique, and market conditions are ever changing.
Outside of my family and my career, I enjoy music and art, swimming and photography, and a fascination with computer technology and communications.
